Guess I should have read the reviews before I purchased this FO. Why would you even sell this Dulce de Leche to me if you know there is a problem! I used this product with IGI 6006 and also C55 tart wax. At first I thought I messed up. I tried again and same issue with the FO separating from the wax’s. Each wax was heated to 190 degrees F and FO was stirred in. I then heated wax’s to 200 degrees with same results. I even placed my wax pitcher back into the double boiler and stirred 2 minutes, at 200 degrees F, and the FO still did not mix together. The FO settled to the bottom of several candles and even the wax melts. I have purchased many items from you and right now it will be hard to buy from you again. I wouldn’t be so upset but to “KNOW” you have had complaints on this FO and still sell it is unbelievable!
Dulce De Leche smells like an amazing dessert on its own, but I always mix oils to make my own combinations. Since I’m just now reading the solubility note and issues, I wasn’t aware of the problem and have been adding the combinations at my usual temperature of 165-175. Some combinations are effected by the vanillin content and have a darker appearance, but this is normal and not an issue for me with glass jars. I hope my love affair with Dulce De Leche won’t be short lived from it being discontinued soon. If you’re having trouble, I've had wonderful results mixing it with oils with 0% vanillin content.
So delicious smelling! I used this in my first CP soap using whole milk instead of water for the lye solution. It didn't make my batter seize, persay (I associate seizing with lots of ricing and panic, haha), but it definitely thickened it. I put it in the fridge to prevent gel, and while in there droplets of fragrance oil formed on the soap that never quite soaked back in. I'm glad I didn't try for any swirls or patterns, because the soap darkened to a deep chocolate brown! Since it smells like a good chocolate cake, I think I'll just call it something like that instead of Dulce de Leche. :)
Let me start off with saying I complete loveeeeee this scent!!! But the formula just does not work. I followed the instructions above to add fo at 185 and the fo just sat in the bottom, literally. I made sure to stir well and on another try do it slowly with a different degree and no difference! & everytime I poured fo no matter what degree I could visibly see some smoke wandering out of it like if it was a hotttttt tea enough to worry me that the vessel might even crack. Thank god my vessel is clear so I’m able to see before selling as it is a FIRE HAZARD.
This is hands down the worst fragrance we've worked with! Wasted over 16oz of fragrance just trying to get it right. We try to stream line our process to make everything as easy as possible. We add fragrance at 185`, cool, pour at 135`. Then make adjustments as necessary. We've gotten nothing but wet spots from this fragrance (soy 464). Typically if we get wet spots or bad tops we pour at a slightly higher temp (get go up by 5's). We have went from 130,135,140,145,150,155 and continue to get large wet spots. This fragrance doesn't give!
