Out of the bottle this smells gross. Like I just can’t do it. But when it combines with the wax it smells way better. It gives off a great cold/hot throw with soy wax. I rated this 4⭐️ Because I combine it with other F.O in my Christmas line and I love the way the vanilla undertones complement the fruitier notes I combine it with. Adding it as a base brings out a lot of the tones I like in other F.O and hides the ones I don’t like so much. It creates scents that I believe are truly unique to my brand when I combine it with other F.O.By itself, not combined it’s ok. It’s growing on me. I guess it smells like vanilla ice cream but the fat free kind without all the unnecessary sugar. It’s strong in all the right places and also subtle in all the right places. I don’t love it For this purpose but I will try it on it’s own in my line because I believe other people who are looking for vanilla will love this one. I didn’t have any technical difficulties with this. I didn’t have any of the problems other people mentioned. I made several candles and I only experienced a small discolored spot in one. Idk why that happened. But other than that it’s pretty unproblematic. Overall this oil is worth the buy. It’s gonna be a regular purchase for me. I def won’t judge a book by the cover next time. I just couldn’t help it this time because the original scent is so offensive. It’d be cool if they could change that part. But either way if you’re on the fence get it. And if you already got it, don’t panic. This is the textbook definition of “trust the process”
I really wanted to love this brand because it’s clean ingredients for candle making, and that is important to my family and friends who I make candles for during the holidays. I’m so happy to say these scents work AMAZINGLY! I mixed scents to make new flavors: sugar cookie (vanilla bean, perfect vanilla layer cake, and pecan upside down cake) for one batch and cinnamon roll (vanilla bean, cinnamon bark, and pecan upside down cake) and they are a huge hit!! I used the scents in organic soy & beeswax with some coconut oil and organic hemp wicks. I used it at about a 10% ratio to my wax and the scent is strong! I personally wouldn’t recommend using less than 8% though, it might be a weak scent under that. I will absolutely be ordering my scents from here from now on! Every scent I bought was great!
We loved the way this scent smells, but presentation is a factor customers take into consideration when buying candles. We poured a small batch into our tin and glass containers. A couple weeks after our pours, we noticed a rust colored discoloration at the rim of our tin containers where the wax meets. Because of this, we decided not to sell that batch of tins but moved forward with our glass candles as they appeared fine. Shortly after they were placed on the shelves, the soy wax throughout the candle began to discolor with the same rust discoloring with our tins. This forced us to pull then from our line. We do use a high amount of fragrance but never exceed recommendations.
I typically don’t like the fragrance of vanilla because it smells synthetic, but this one has completely changed my entire life. I love this vanilla fragrance. I make straight vanilla candles, and I burn them myself and they also sell really really well. It’s sweet and just like everything you’d ever want to imagine eating when it comes to vanilla. For anybody that struggles with getting an appetite this candle will totally help with that. Stressed out? Can’t eat? This fragrance will help with that. Definitely add it to your aromatherapy line because it is 100% therapeutic.
The scent was definitely not what I was expecting. It has more of a sour buttercream and not great out of the bottle BUT I paired it with Pecan Upside Down Cake and it smells AMAZING! I used it for my lotion bars and didn't have any separation issues or color issues. I'm using it in a candle next and looking forward to it! It is strong. I found doing 2 parts of another fragrance with 1 part of this worked well at balancing out the notes. I will definitely keep it on my "get" list as I think it will pair wonderfully with a lot of others!
